Technical Notes
100% solid birch multi-ply core, cross-laminated for superior structural stability. Calibrated and double-sanded to 180-grit. Density: 700 kg/m³ (±30 kg/m³). Moisture content: 8–12%. Bonded with exterior-grade Phenolic WBP glue conforming to EN 314-2 Class 3. Emission certified to CARB Phase 2 / EPA TSCA Title VI and EN 717-1 E1. Thickness tolerance: ±0.5 mm.
Quality Grade Notes
Graded in accordance with GOST 3916.1-96 / EN 635-2 as B/BB. Face veneer (B) is solid, one-piece, uniform in color, free from open defects and wood patches; occasional pin knots under 5 mm permitted. Reverse veneer (BB) allows sound color-matched oval/butterfly wood patches and light mineral streaks.
Fabrication Suitability
Ideal for CNC routing, precise laser cutting, and heavy-duty cabinet joinery. To prevent edge tear-out on thin face veneers, use sharp compression/down-cut tooling and scribe cutting blades. The multi-ply solid core allows exposed, profiled, and clear-finished edges without mandatory edge banding; also compatible with standard PUR/EVA veneer/ABS edge banding. Pre-drilling is recommended for all edge and face screw fixings (minimum 25 mm edge clearance). Store flat on level dunnage and acclimate 48 hours prior to processing.
Finish & Appearance
Surface detail and colour reference.
Natural birch veneer exhibits a pale cream to light golden-brown tone with a fine, uniform texture and subtle grain (straight to slightly wavy). As a natural wood product, slight variations in color, grain pattern, and occasional small pin knots are normal and vary from sheet to sheet. Minor shade differences may occur between production batches. Over time, natural UV exposure may cause the wood to mellow into a slightly warmer tone.
Applications
Architectural and fabrication use of this surface.
