Quality Grade Notes
Graded in accordance with GOST 3916.1-96 / EN 635-2 as B/BB. Face veneer (B) is solid, one-piece, uniform in color, free from open defects and wood patches; occasional pin knots under 5 mm permitted. Reverse veneer (BB) allows sound color-matched oval/butterfly wood patches and light mineral streaks.
Fabrication Suitability
Cutting & CNC Machining / 开料与CNC雕刻:
Excellent dimensional stability and screw-holding strength. Recommended tooling: Sharp carbide-tipped (TCT) or diamond (PCD) saw blades and CNC spiral bits (compression or down-cut) to prevent veneer tear-out/chipping on face plies.
Edge Treatment & Banding / 封边与边缘处理:
Multi-ply solid birch edge allows direct sanding, profiling (bevel/chamfer), and clear lacquering to showcase the decorative layered edge. Compatible with standard PVC, ABS, and natural wood veneer edge banding via EVA/PUR hot-melt adhesives.
Fastening & Drilling / 打孔与紧固:
Pre-drilling pilot holes is required prior to driving wood screws to avoid splitting near edges (maintain ≥25 mm from panel borders). Compatible with standard dowels, minifix cams, and pocket-hole joinery.
Finishing / 表面涂装:
Face veneer is factory-sanded to 180-grit. Wipe surface clean before applying polyurethane, UV oil, stain, or water-based clear coats. Apply balance coats equally to both faces to prevent warping.
Storage & Acclimatization / 仓储与养生:
Store flat on elevated battens in a dry, ventilated, temperature-controlled environment away from direct ground moisture. Allow panels to acclimate in the workshop for at least 48 hours prior to machining.
Finish & Appearance
Surface detail and colour reference.
Natural birch veneer exhibits a pale cream to light golden-brown tone with a fine, uniform texture and subtle grain (straight to slightly wavy). As a natural wood product, slight variations in color, grain pattern, and occasional small pin knots are normal and vary from sheet to sheet. Minor shade differences may occur between production batches. Over time, natural UV exposure may cause the wood to mellow into a slightly warmer tone.

Sample Dimensions / 样板规格:
Standard hand samples are 150 × 150 mm (6" × 6") or 200 × 300 mm (approx. A4 size), full thickness (e.g., 18 mm) to showcase core ply count, veneer quality, and edge banding/exposed core appearance. Custom oversized samples (e.g., 600 × 600 mm) available upon request.
Finish / Surface / 表面状态:
Supplied in natural raw state (pre-sanded 180-grit) or pre-finished with clear matte lacquer upon request. One cut edge is fine-sanded to demonstrate exposed layered edge details.
Representational Limitations / 局限性说明:
Due to the natural characteristics of birch timber, small samples serve as a general guide for color tone, veneer thickness, and core density only. They cannot represent full-sheet grain flow, natural color range, or allowable natural features (such as sound pin knots or mineral streaks) across a full 4' × 8' panel.
